Chief Physicist Juha Nikkinen notes that “with MRI, we can define healthy tissues and treatment targets more accurately.” This allows for the treatment of even small brain targets thanks to the superior soft tissue contrast.
This is just a glimpse into the insights Oulu University hospital has to offer on MRI in radiation therapy. Watch the full interview to learn more about the experiences Juha Nikkinen and his colleagues have made integrating MRI into their radiation therapy workflows.
